September: God is worthy of our trust.

Story: Daniel in the lion’s den – Daniel trusted God to keep him safe

Verses: “When I am afraid I will trust in God.” Psalm 56:3;  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5; “God is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.” Psalm 18:30b

October: God is always faithful.

Stories: Moses – Moses’ mother trusted God to be faithful and take care of Moses even when she could not. The Prodigal Son – the father was faithful. He never stopped loving his son.

Verses: “There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Prov. 18:24; “God’s way is perfect. All God’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.” Psalm 18:30; “God cares for you.” 1Peter 5:7; “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of the Lord lasts forever.” Isaiah 40:8

November: God loves and values us. He delights in fellowship with us.

Stories: The Man Who Said, Thank You; Zacchaeus

Verses: “I can do everything because God gives me strength.” Phillipines 4:13; “Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:2; “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His loves endures forever.” Psalm 118:1

December: God loved us and sent His Son.

Story: Christmas

Verses: “We love Him because He first loved us. He loved us and sent His Son.” 1John 4:10; “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6-7; “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you si born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-11

January: God is kind.

Stories: The Good Samaritan; David and Jonathan

Verses: “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24; “Encourage one another and build them up.” 1 Thess. 5:11; “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with action and in truth.” 1 John 3:18; “So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you.” Matthew 7:12

February: God delights in a cheerful and loving heart.

Stories: The Boy Who Shared His Lunch; God Must Like to Laugh

Verses: “Do everything without complaining, do everything without arguing.” Phillipians 2:14; “God is love.” 1 John 4:16;  “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22; “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16

March: God is kind.

Stories: Bartimaeus; The Four Friends

Verses: “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Proverbs 17:17; “Love is patient. Love is kind.”;  “Love one another as I have loved you. So you must love one another.” John 13:34

April: God is the Creator.

Stories: The Creation; The Wind That Obeyed

Verses: “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the earth. He does not faint or grow wary; his understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28; “See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.” Song of Solomon 2:11-12; “You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139: 13, 14

May: God is Obedient.

Story: Jesus and the Children

Verses: “Love means that we should live by obeying His Word. From the beginning He has said in His Word that our hearts should be full of love.” 2 John 1:6; “Honor your father and mother.” Deuteronomy 5:16; “Children obey your parents for this is right.” Eph. 6:1
